Leadership Training
To realize Bayer’s value, all employees undergo a leadership training course called the Bayer Leadership Academy. At this session participants reflect on their personal vision, and ultimately acquire a leadership paradigm that can be developed into a mutually dependent relationship with the organization.
Through this, all Bayer employees develop concrete behavior and attitudes required for full cooperation and effective communication through a variety of activities, and in particular, managers learn technical methodology and philosophy necessary for the creation of an environment in which the managers as coaching leaders motivate the employees to achieve the best performance on their own. BHC Academy
Bayer HealthCare operates the BHC Academy, a competency enhancement program for sales and marketing personnel, by means of online and offline trainings throughout the year as an effort to strengthen the competency of employees.
Talent Development Program: SPEED
SPEED (Significant Progress in Early Executives Development) is an innovative program that fosters the development of management talent in the Asia/Pacific region. Since the first quarter of 2009, programs with SPEED centers in Singapore, Australia and China have been fully operational aimed at Bayer HealthCare employees who deal with specialized medicines, and they have been extended all over Bayer HealthCare since the second half of 2010. In Korea, candidates were selected in 2009, and they have taken part in the programs since 2010. The selection of candidates in Korea is carried out through the process of discussion and approval in the management team with respect to the candidates recommended by the heads of each department in the 'Personnel Organizational Conference' which is held every year.
