Demand from the automotive, plastics and other industries for our waterborne Bayhydrol and Bayhydur coating resins has risen, with double-digit growth rates pointing to our technological leadership in this rapidly expanding market segment. Confident that innovations will continue to fuel the growth of this enlarged business group, we have concentrated our research in coating binders at a new center in Leverkusen, opened in 1998, and we will continue to invest heavily in R&D to expand our expertise in this area.
